Join me for a thrilling (well ok, somewhat interesting) look inside what its like to have CoolScultping done. As I head into the final 8 weeks before the pageant, its time to get stage ready!

Entry 9 - The Northwest Women's Show

Angelique and Dionne duke it out for the title . . . OK, no, it was just a little fun role playing at the NW Womens Show, another event which has become an annual tradition for the ladies of the Mrs. Washington Pageant. Always a wonderful day of meeting new friends and making great connections!

Entry 8 - Second Annual Trip to Mrs. Oregon Pageant

Its time for a pageant road trip and girls weekend! The trip to watch the Mrs. Orgeon pageant is becoming an annual tradition.

Entry 8 - Join me in Supporting Important Legislation

Join me in supporting two important and landmark pieces of legislation related to chemicals and our health. The Toxic Free Kids and Families Act would ban toxic flame retardants in Washington State and the Personal Care Products Saftey Act is a step in the right direction toward not allowing product manufacturers to put just any old chemical they want in our personal care products.

The links below will take you right to forms where you can quickly look up your representatives and send them a message in a couple of clicks.

The motto of the Mrs. Washington America Pageant is "Making a Difference." This is important, and it can truly make a difference. Lets do something! Thanks for joining me in support of these bills.

Entry 7 - Beauty | Brand | Believe Expo

This event was so much fun and filled with tips and inspiration for women and girls preparing for pageants of all kinds. Huge thank you to Pageants Northwest for putting it on. At the event I ran into an old pal, Justin Jones of Elizabeth Jane Swimwear and the founder of HealED. We chatted for a minute about his upcoming project to prevent eating disorders and promote healthy a body image in teens and young women.

Entry 6 - On Wings of Hope

Every year a group of the contestants from the Mrs. Washington pageant get the chance to volunteer as glamourous raffle ticket schillers at the Hope Heart Institue's On Wings of Hope Benefit, and this year I got to take part again! Its always a fun rock and roll filled night to get our hearts pumping and raise some money for heart health education.

Entry 5 - Oh Make Up, How I love thee! Let Me Count The Ways . . .

I'm so grateful and excited to announce that Gabriel Cosmetics has agreed to continue their support of my journey in the Mrs. Washington pageant as my officical make up sponsor. In this entry I take you inside their Redmond boutique as I pick out new colors to coordinate with my pageant wardrobe this year and talk about why I love make up.

Right: A couple of pictures from my incredible evening as an auction model for Brain Injury Alliance of Washington's annual B.I.G. Brain Injury Gala. On the left I'm with my fellow volunteer model for the evening, Laura, who is has both recieved services from BIAWA as a survivor of an auto accident and given her time back to BIAWA for several years. I couldn't believe I forgot to video blog it! (was having too much fun)

Entry 4 - A Video Blog Christmas Card

Wishing you a Merry Christmas from the magical Snowflake Lane in downtown Bellevue! This installment guest stars my cousin Mark, his lovely wife Charlene and their children Jacob and Alana, who are in the show.

Entry 3 - Pageant Packed Weekend - The 2016 Season Kicks Off

It was a pageant event double header weekend! So busy I didn't take the time to get more than a few short clips of video at each stop, so I combined the weekend's activities into one installment for the ol' video blog. Miss East King County Pageant on Saturday and the first gathering of the class of 2016 for the Mrs. Washington pageant on Sunday!

Entry 2 - SeaFair Torchlight Parade

I was absolutely blown away to get to have this opportunity! Jessica Riggs (Mrs. Washington 2012) and I got to be 1940's Pin Up Girls and ride on an aircraft carrier float representing the PBY Naval Air Museum in Oak Harbor - in the SeaFair Torchlight Parade! Talk about a childhood dream come true!

Entry 1 - NW Solar Fest

I was honored to be asked to be a topic expert at this year's NW Solar Fest, the region's premier sustainable living fair. I was asked to host one of their "Conversation Stations," a concept designed to get people talking about issues that need public awareness. I gave a short presentation on natural cosmetics and had a wonderful time at the fair!

Stay tuned for more! There's so much to cover with big projects in the works and big goals for next year's pageant!
